Welcome to our collection of classic 20th century sofa and chair designs. Everything is hand-made to order to each customers individual specifications, in our factory in Brighton. We make good quality new furniture not re-conditioned originals; our sofas and chairs are made to last for many years. Although our products are not particularly expensive, quality in anything comes ata price, so our products will cost more than cheaper production-line furniture, made to last 3 or 4 years and to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Scandecor is a family business which has been trading since 1967. It is a well financed, trustworthy and reliable business, but if you have any reservations about buying at long distance, we would suggest that you pay for any transactions by credit card, as the card company guarantees the security of your purchase.

LEATHER:
All our leather sofas are priced in leather from the Scottish Tannery of Andrew Muirhead and Son. This is a very old-established family business with a reputation for quality leather. There is a choice of 60 plain colours plus 8 semi-antique colours. There is also a range of distressed leathers, mainly in shades of brown. We also have a budget-priced range of plain leathers at a 20% discount on list prices; these are not such good quality as the Muirhead leathers but will give many years service. We would suggest you read our leather information leaflet carefully.

SOFA BEDS:
Many of our sofa designs are also available as sofa beds. Several of these are quoted on our price list, but it is also possible to make some other models as a sofa bed. If you are particularly interested in any design that is not listed as a sofa bed, please check with us whether it can be made. The standard sof bed is a 2.5 seat sofa size and incorporates a metal bed action and a foam matress (6.5cm thick). This has a sleeping width of 120cm which is a small double bed. Wider bed actions with a sleeping width of 140cm and 150cm are available and these would be incorporated into a 3 seat sofa bed.
